As a pest control company, we’ve done literally thousands of scorpion seals since we opened in 1991. A very large percentage of those customers were convinced that the scorpions were coming out of their air conditioning. Who can blame them when they have scorpions playing peek-a-boo from behind the A/C vent covers. It’s a common occurrence when folks have scorpions in their homes.
The fact is that in virtually every case, the scorpions are actually hiding in the wall voids and crawl spaces and entering the room via the gap between the ducting and the drywall. As you can see in the before & after pictures here, there is plenty of room for them to slide in and out in some homes. Sealing this gap on every single air vent that we can get to inside of the structure is an important part of the effectiveness of a scorpion seal. This application will also save money on your energy bill, as described by the Dept. of Energy in their ‘Air Sealing Your Home Article‘. The fact that a scorpion sealing – when done correctly – will eventually pay for itself is an awesome added benefit. But the real secret sauce here is that it will make it very difficult for scorpions to get into the structure – again: if done correctly.
You don’t have to share your home with unwanted guests. We know how to seal scorpions out and have thousands of happy customers to prove it. Save money on your electric bill, reduce the amount of dust that gets into your home and seal out scorpions today. You’ll sleep better:)
