How does the olive tree spray work?

Our Olive Tree Spraying Service is a must if you have Olive Trees. No more Olives, no more mess, fewer allergens. It's a no brainer!

Our Olive Tree Spraying Service is a must if you have Olive Trees. No more Olives, no more mess, fewer allergens. It’s a no brainer!

Our team treats the olive trees with a plant growth regulator (PGR). The application is made annually and during the 1st quarter of the year. They first rinse and tarp off any desirable vegetation near the targeted tree(s). Then they mix the PGR with water and a surfactant (spreader/sticker) according to label specifications. The mixture is then applied uniformly on all of the leaves of each tree. The surfactant breaks the surface tension allowing the PGR/water mixture to adhere better to the leaves and buds.

There are a number of different hormones that are associated with the growth and development of olive trees. The PGR interferes with and changes the that hormonal balance. These changes inhibit the production of pollen which eliminates the production of fruit and is a major relief to allergy sufferers. After the application they remove the tarps and rinse the desirable vegetation again just to be sure.
